What are NAICS and PSC codes anyway? 4-8-21

What are NAICS and PSC codes anyway? 4-8-21Thursday, April 8, 2021, at 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM- Eastern Standard Time [Web Conference]

Did you know, while the federal government uses NAICS when posting contracts, that they do not use all NAICS? Mis-identification of NAICS codes for your firm could mean you are missing out on contracts.

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is the standard used by Federal statistical agencies in classifying business establishments for the purpose of collecting, analyzing, and publishing statistical data related to the U.S. business economy. Common users include businesses and government authorities. Used to differentiate types of business according to their process of production. And federal agencies post contracts seeking suppliers that provide goods and services within these NAICS.

The Product and Service Codes (PSC) Manual provides codes to describe products, services, and research and development (R&D) purchased by the federal government. These codes indicate “WHAT” was bought for each contract action reported in the Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS).

Join us to learn how to take advantage of the system and maximize your reach to purchasers.
