HubZones? What is it and how to get certified 03-14-24
The HUBZone program fuels small business growth in historically underutilized business zones with a goal of awarding at least three percent of federal contract dollars to HUBZone-certified companies each year.
The federal government limits competition for certain contracts to businesses in historically underutilized business zones. It also gives preferential consideration to those businesses in full and open competition.
Joining the HUBZone program makes your business eligible to compete for the program’s set-aside contracts. HUBZone-certified businesses also get a 10 percent price evaluation preference in full and open contract competitions.
HUBZone-certified businesses can still compete for contract awards under other socio-economic programs they qualify for.
Join us to learn about each of these socio-economic programs and determine which opportunities may be right for your business.

Doing Business with Air Force Materiel Command 08-29-23
Powering the world’s greatest Air Force…We develop, deliver, support and sustain war-winning capabilities.
AFMC delivers war-winning expeditionary capabilities to the warfighter through development and transition of technology, professional acquisition management, exacting test and evaluation, and world-class sustainment of all Air Force weapon systems. From cradle-to-grave, AFMC provides the work force and infrastructure necessary to ensure the United States remains the world’s most respected Air Force.
HOW IS AFMC ORGANIZED?
There are six centers within AFMC, all of which have a specific function. One function does not mean one location. Although Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) is headquartered at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (AFB), OH, it has operating locations at Hanscom AFB, MA; Hill AFB, UT; Robins AFB, GA; and Eglin AFB, FL, among others. Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) is headquartered at Tinker AFB, OK, but also has operating locations at Hill AFB, UT and Robins AFB, GA. For small businesses new to the government, this geographic dispersion can add complexity and confusion.
We invite you to sit in on this detailed presentation, to learn about the primary functions and spend profile of each center and how to position your small business for capture with Air Force Materiel Command. View spend data and forecast opportunities by location.

Elevator Pitch Part II
Imagine you could secure a new client in about the time it takes to ride an elevator, from the top floor to the bottom. Nothing is impossible. An elevator pitch lets you do exactly that. It’s a brief synopsis of your background, skills, and experience. Do it right, and it may have the influence to win over a new client in about 30 seconds or less. Making an effective elevator pitch may seem challenging, but it can be done. In Part II, we will practice pitching live and the panel will provide valuable feedback to help improve and ensure you are delivering an effective elevator pitch.

HubZone Program | New Updates and Changes 04-18-23
